Atlanta traffic

Hey. Sorry I haven't updated in a few. We've seen a lot. A suicide jumper in Minneapolis, a bear hit by a car, Semi accident burnt up and causing a twenty mile back up on interstates. Now in Atlanta and its getting warmer. Hope to see the beach tomorrow. Miss you all.

My Trainer

This is Dwight Gooding. He has been my OTR trainer for the past two weeks. He has been driving OTR for 35 years, the last six for Roehl. He is retiring the end of July (don't know if I scared him into it:). He has had to put up with living with me in confined quarters for two weeks, that's enough for anybody. He has over 4 million miles in a truck. Wow! He is looking forward to traveling with his wife Jane and see all the places he has been passing by in a truck for so long. They have a truck and a fifth wheel trailer and many places, friends and relatives to see. He also has a grandson in the USMC. Thank you Dwight for a great two weeks of learning and getting to know you. Thanks for all your service on the road all those years.

They have now made all traffic exit highway 41. All ramps blocked as road is now impassable. Fortunately this was to be our exit to head west anyway but others are not so fortunate.

Hey

Hey. Haven't updated in a couple of days. Been very busy and just got a shower this morning for the first time this week. It has rained everyday and today it was very windy and rainy. Ran into a guy today who had a turkey fly in his window while driving a semi. Messed up his neck, shoulder and back and the turkey kinda blew up inside the cab with feathers everywhere. He is off work recouping. He drives for Kraft foods and we ran into him on one of our breaks. He had a picture of the damage to the truck. Unbelievable. Love you all.

Flat tire

I had my first flat on a trailer today. Called the drivers hot line and they told us what exit to limp to. Mechanic fixed us up in fifteen minutes and we were back on the road.
